My Contact in the FFXIVCore Staff

Evicerator is just another gamer who wants to do beta for FFXIV.  Unfortunately for him though he has some elitist tendencies that almost guaranteed I would despise him.  On the forums he seeks to have the highest post count.  He sought after and got moderator status.  He made many friends who then joined his linkshell.  All for what?  If you blindly trust his words, it's because he is a nice guy who wants to build up a community of FFXIV Fans and lead a linkshell of friends to in game glory.  But the truth of the matter is E is a closet elitist, who has to apply tremendous exertion in order to keep his elitist tendencies in check.

To most people he seems level headed, intelligent and friendly.  These are fair assessments and I also found him quite agreeable most of the time.  However, the elitist in him was most easily detectable while playing FFXI.  First thing you notice about Evicerator in the game was the not-very-well-known fact that he only recently had an account banned.  This is a closely guarded secret to most of his linkshell as they would not look kindly on his activities which resulted in his banning.  After activating an account in order to play FFXI with us, he promptly announced that he was in possession of a 'mule' with level 96 fishing, over 90 Million Gil, every HQ elemental staff and various other gear valued at another 10 Million Gil.  Quite the mule for a player claiming to be casually interested in FFXIV.

His behavior was far more indicative of a closet elitist than his account.  He is the prototypical elitist who only hides this fact through great effort.  When he got tired or angry he would let his guard down and reveal his natural tendencies.  One typical elitist behavior is the complete lack of charity.  Not only was he incapable of receiving favors without the promise of reciprocation, but he refused to take even a meat mithkabob without paying.  This behavior is classic among elitists who avoid, at all costs, to be on the hook for even the smallest favors.  For us average folk, we constantly give and receive favors out of a common regard for friendship not because we expect something in return.

At other times he displayed the classic "efficiency whoring" so common among elitists.  Not that there is anything wrong with efficiency, but when it trumps having a good time, when it becomes a neurotic behavior -- you are failing to enjoy the game.  In experience points parties the push to level would override all conversations.  Joking around and going afk was manifestly disappointing to him.  At the end of the day, if we weren't operating at max efficiency -- we were wasting his time.

I could go on and on about his in game behavior, but Evicerator's worst enemy is his own real life brother.  A week before Evicerator started the linkshell, I had a private conversation with his brother.  In that conversation his brother told me about how the both of them actively participated in linkshells that used bots to claim HNM's.  His brother openly bragged that they knew the infamous creator of the NASA botting program used to prevent all other players on an entire server from claiming lucrative HNM spawns.  Furthermore, Evicerator is known to have actively used the now infamous Salvage Exploit which resulted in thousands of accounts being banned, most probably his own included.  Evicerator openly admitted his belief that the exploit was not something for which a player should be banned.

In the end I took a voice recording of Evicerator openly discussing his purchase of a beta key on Ventrilo.  Since most of you don't know his voice, it will be less than thrilling to hear now.  In the recording he admits that Zyuu is a complete douchebag who put Curse Network and FFXIVCore at risk for his own personal gain.  He also discussed his refusal to pay as a donation, meaning he paid on Zyuu's PayPal account for goods or services.  A fact which would have dire consequences if Evicerator had the courage to reveal it.  Instead, because of his own personal greed for a beta key, it will likely remain a secret between them -- a secret that will likely keep Evicerator in Zyuu's good graces for a long time to come.

Evicerator may be trying to reform his old elitist ways, but he could do much more in this regard.  Perhaps his past is not justification enough to justify how I have burned him.  But...is he likely to take advantage of exploits in FFXIV?  YES.  Would he and his known associates abuse third party hacks or bots?  YES.  Is he likely to abuse other players for not having the best gear or leveling as fast as is humanly possible?  YES.  Perhaps Evicerator deserves what happened to his reputation because of how he and those like him participated in destroying FFXI.

I'm not sorry.  I will never apologize for his suffering.  I come to take from him what he took from others.  If I could have my way, I would humiliate him once for every single time he used the Salvage Exploit.  For every HNM he and his former friends botclaimed... another violation of trust.  For every rule he breaks, I would make him pay in spades!  He and those like him deserve no mercy, because when given the chance, they have proven themselves unworthy of it.   V.
